- John Neill aged 72 told me that there was a man killed at the well he was going for water to cure his teeth ache.His name was Pat Dunne the year he died in was 1742: his age was 46. It is said that St Patrick built a little Chapel there.
- There is a lone bush in Allen's field and it is said that there is hidden treasure under it and a hound minding it. If any one got it before one o clock they would be rich for ever. A man one night went out through the field at half past twelve o clock. He was just passing the bush and saw a man diging up clay and asked him what was he doing he said he was looking for treasure.
