Times
Long ago people used to say that it was not lucky to get married in the month of May. On that account no body used to be married in that month.
Lucky times.
The people said that from Christmas to Shrove Tuesday was a very lucky time to be married.
Racing home
Long ago the people used to have no way of travelling except on horseback. When they were coming home they used to race home on horses. With the bride and her husband on the same horse.
Customs
