There was once a gentleman who owned a lot of land in Lein.

There was once a gentleman who owned a lot of land is Leix. His name was O'Moore. His solicitors name was De. Vessy a protestant English-man. When he was dying he sent for him for he wanted to make his will. The solicitor drew the will in favour of himself. O'Moore died immediately. De.Vessy put the will in O'Moore's mouth before he died and so they were his last words. About a month later O'Moore's relations came to see about the will. De. Vessy produced it. It went to court and De. Vessy held up the will in court and swore they were his last words. So he got the land. On the 31st of July every year men have to be put on the fences; for if one of the descendants of O'Moore gets in, that day, he can claim the Estate. The new G.A.A. park is called after O'Moore
