- There is a fort in Mr Weir's field in the Townland of Coolnahay, and there was a man living in the field not far from the road. One day he went up on the hill and fell asleep, and when he wakened there was a lovely set of pipes and a book beside him. It was written on the book to take up the book and be a scholar or to take up the pipes and be a piper. He was frightened for some time and then he took up the pipes and he started to play and he was able to play any tune he liked on that pipes, but he could not play on any other pipes. The man's name was Pat Ham
