  1. Once upon a time two sailors were on board a ship and their names were Bill and Jack. Jack got sick suddenly and died. When they were putting him overboard, because they could not bury him, they put about a ton of coal tied to his feet to sink him. Bill said sorrowfully "that he always knew Jack would go to hell but he never knew he would bring his own coal with him".
