- There are seven forts in this district. There is a fort in Aughnasilla. The owner is Edward Quaire. Long a man named John Kenny cut bushes in it and all his cattle died soon afterwards. In a fort belonging to Brigid Burns. Ballycloghan a young lad went out for the cows on a Summer's evening and as he did not come back his people went to look for him and he was dancing around the ring of the fort. He said he heard the loveliest and sweetest music in the fort. There is a fort in Ballycloghan owned by Patrick Hughes.
One day there was cockfighting going on in that fort and a little red man went into the house and he was not seen going in or out by the crowd.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
