- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)brown spots on them. They are a little bigger than a hen's egg. Other birds seen in my district are, the stair, the starling, the stonechecker, the corncrake, the hawk and the jay.
The stair build her nest of hay and feathers in the eave of a house.
The nest of the starlings is clumsily built of straw, roots and grasses. It is placed sometimes in a tree, and sometimes in a hole in an old ruin.
She lays five pale blue eggs.
The stonechecker builds her nest in the wall, the nest is always hidden.
The Corncrake lays her eggs in a meadow. She lays two white eggs with brown spots on them.
The jay builds her nest of hay and moss and lines it with hair. She lays four blue eggs.- Bailitheoir
