    night after he had walked to Dublin and back.
    Mickey Carty, Cartronbore, Abbeylara, could carry six cut on his back and he could allow a wheel of a loaded cart to pass over his back. He could lift up a jennet on his shoulders and smoke a pipe at the same time. He was twenty three and a half stone weight.
    Nipper Daly, Abbeylara, could carry two cart of tools on his back and run like a deer. He was four and a half feet in height and seven stone weight. He had a beard sixteen inches long.
    This was told to me by Michael Duffy, Abbeylara, Aged 51 years.
