   pigs. It is said that if a man is smoking and churning at the same time that he won't get butter on the milk.

   One time, there was a man and he could never have butter on the milk when he would churn. One night he stayed to watch the cow and see would anything go near her. When he was a little while there a white hare came up tot he cow and the man fixed a chat at it it and hit it on the leg. The hare ran away to an old house and leaped in on the window. The man followed it into the house and when he went in, there was an old woman lying on the bed and her leg bleeding.
