- Once upon a time there was a moat in this locality and it is said that there was money buried in it.One night some fellows went to dig it and they brought a piece of woollen thread and a bottle of holy water with them and they dipped the woollen thread in the holy water and made a ring around the place where they thought that the money was buried.Some of them started digging and the two strongest nerved fellows had to stay on top inside the ring shaking the holy water with (branches?) of trees to keep away the evil spirits.They heard moaning like a bull and chains rattling. The fellows digging were down half way. The fellows on top saw a hen and seven chickens and all the clay that the fellows would throw up the hen and chickens would throw it down(continues on next page)
