- There is a standing stone in Clearys field. It is said that the stone was brought from the mountains. It is said that there was a man chased from the mountain by the soldiers in the penal Days. Where he got to that field he dropped dead. He was buried there and the stone was put over his grave. My Father said that up to a short time ago you could see R.I.P. on the stone.
