- Chapel field is opposite the church in Kilscoran. In an old ruins of a church in that field, a priest used to say Mass during the time of Cromwell, and the hunted Catholics used to assemble there. It is said that about a hundred years after, there were kneeling figures seen in that spot.There is a field in St. Helens called the Well field. There is a large rock in the centre of it. There is a bullock's track in the rock. There is spring water flowing from the track.Scruteens upper and lower are fields of very poor soil and never grew anything but wiry mountain grass.
