- Not so long ago there was a woman and her husband living in John Street. They were alongside of Saint John's graveyard. One day the mans wife got very ill and there was no food or fire in the house. So the man went in to the graveyard to get some sticks. When he was gathering the sticks he saw a skull and there was a pair of gold teeth in it. He took the teeth out of the skull. He brought them out of the graveyard and then he brought them down to a chemist. The chemist gave him ten shillings for them. When he got the ten shillings he came out and bought food and coal. When he came home his wife was delighted. They had plenty to eat and drink that day and he had the fire lighting. They went to bed and at twelve o'clock a tapping came on the windows and they heard a voice saying "Give me back my teeth you have robbed the dead". The man and woman were afraid. The next day the man went to the chemist and told him what had happened. He gave the man back his teeth.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
