- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)he was saying and told who his companions were. The other man when he heard his friend telling jumped loose and got a gun and shot his friend. He then turned the gun on himself and shot himself through the head.
- In the year 1798 the United Irishmen stayed up in the rocks in Wexford for fear of the Yeomen. Their hiding place was a cave in Maiden Tower. They had a tunnel going down to the bay. Every time they could get a chance they would go down to town and kill the Yeomen. They used to wait outside the town and ambush the Yeomen or Redcoats and kill them. The Government would send down a Regiment of soldiers to capture the United Irishmen but the United Irishmen would escape through the fields and get away.
