- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)what remained of the Rebels had to fly for their lives. When they were escaping a band of Yeos captured them and put them into the barn of Scullabogue. They filled the barn with men, women and children. Paddy Morris was in it too and a neighbour that knew him dragged him out through the window and he got away. While he was in the barn which was on fire he saw women throwing out the children to save them. As fast as they could throw them out the soldiers would stick them on their swords and throw them in again.
This Paddy Morris remembered Hempenstall, whom the people nick-named the "Travelling Gallows". He used to hang them with the triangle, That was a figure standing(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
