- About seventy years ago, there lived a farmer in Carne, Co Wexford. Owing to one hard Winter, he lost all his cattle. One morning when he went into his yard he saw a little black Kerry cow standing by his cow-house.
He was very poor so on that account he kept the cow.
After a while his farm grew big. He had fine cattle. He now got ashamed of the Kerry cow. He told his wife that he was going to bring the Kerry cow to the fair.He went out to the field where the cow was. When the cow saw him coming, she ran, followed by all the other cows. The cows ran to the sea. This place is called the "Bullock Track". It is said that the cow came from the sea and when she saw that the farmer was dissatisfied she returned.- Collector
