    into which the people gathered, when Cromwell came. Cromwell's men set fire to it and one poor woman in her helplessness threw a baby through a window and - one of the brutal soldiers caught it on the point of his sword.
    Anyone who was hiding and had come back, had to step over the dead bodies of people in the Faythe and in other places.
    In one case, two families were hiding in a bush and one of the children betrayed them with a cry.
    When Cromwell heard it, he brought them out and killed them.
