    with hate in his eyes. He crept forward to O'neills tent.
    Intent on revenge, he had forgotten about the sentries. One of these, hearing a slight noise ran to O'Neills camp and saw Larkin with his gun raised ready to shoot at the still body of O'Neill. The sentry had nothing but a pike, but he rushed Larkin and ran the pike through his shoulder. Larkin cried out in pain and his cry awakened O'Neill, who seized his gun and shot him. When morning came, they buried Larkin's body and went their way.
