In Glassganny there are mostly old fashioned houses and most of them are slated, the houses are very few and an average of four or five in every house. There is also a mile stone there and the figures of 96 are carved on it, but now the moss has grown over the stone and the numbers can scarcely be recognised.
And from this we know that our house is 96 miles along the old road to Dublin.
From that mile stone to the Bull Ring in Wexford is three miles.
Nearly all the land is hilly and boggy and not very good for tillage.
Lots of drains and streams are running through the land and on that account the land is well watered.
