Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)is a "Murphy" and each family is distinguished by a nickname. EG. "Josie Pedar" Murphy. She is called that because her fathers name is Pedar.
Sometimes they call the family after their mothers maiden name, all of these families are connected either by blood or marriage.
There are lots of people in my district, and they remember a long way back and tell lots of stories, funny, sad, and weird , of things that happen in their youth.
Long ago there were much more houses than there is now: here and there are the ruins of many an old tumbled down cottage.
The gardens of these little houses are still tilled by relatives of deceased.
Not many ever emigrated from this district and it was only in latter years that anyone left it(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
