    The "Aberfelda" 1870
    This was a merchant vessel laden with copper ore.
    She was a small vessel having but a crew of four.
    She was driven ashore at Tinnaberna, about two miles from Kilmuckridge.
    Three men and a young boy were drowned.
    Notes supplied by a pupil, Maggie Carberry who had them from her father, an old seaman, who had sailed the Seven seas, aged 70 years.
