- There were wooden ploughs in use about thirty years ago, but at that time they were not very common.
The potatoes were taken out with a potato digger and the good ones and the bad ones were sorted apart. The little ones and the bad ones were brough home and given to pigs as food. The good ones are piled up in a pit.Mary Coleman.
