Weeds grow up very quickly and they are sometimes very harmful. The most harmful weeds are Presshock, Rag-weed, scutch grass sometomes known as cowch grass. Charlock is another name for Presshock. These are harmful because they take the good out of the soil that useful plants and herbs need. Presslock usually grows in turnips and beet. Dandelion is another weed but it only grows in ditches. Docks and spunk grow in turnips, barley and freshly tilled ground. Chicken weed grows in potatoe and turnip crops and is a very bad weed for spreading. Thistle are a very injurious weed also. Presshock is a very spreading weed (that are on it) because of all the seeds that are on it. Dandelion is sometimes boiled and its juice is used as a drink(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
