- Local cures.
There were many cures in this district long ago. The cure for warts on your hands is for every wart you have, get a stone and rub the wart with it, and throw the stone over your right shoulder.
Or another cure is, get a paper bag and put the stones into it, and leave them at a cross-roads. And the first one who picks up the stones will get the warts.
A cure for boils is to get a bottle and fill it with boiling water, and leave the water in the bottle for a couple of minutes. And then take the water out of it, and place the bottle on the boil.
There is a Blessed Well in Kiltilly where people with sprained ankles go (dir) desiring to be cured. The cure for a burn is soda and buttermilk.- Informant
