    There are not many old in this district. There is a very old house at Ballyroebuck cross roads. This house is over one hundred and fifty years old and it is not safe to live in it. There are five small rooms in it, a kitchen, a parlour, a sitting room and two bedrooms. There are only two small windows in each room and these are nearly overgrown with ivy. The walls of this house are in very bad condition; parts of them are bulging in parts are bulging out. There are four walls and the chimney of another old house in Ballyroebuck too. This is a very old house with only two rooms. The roof was heavily thatched and the wood was not able to support it, so it fell in. The chimney is made of wattles and clay. There was only one window in each room.
    The teacher's residence is a very house too. I am told that it is 150 years old. There three rooms in it, a kitchen, a parlour and a bedroom. The room that is now the parlour was once the school. There was a loft over the parlour and that was the bedroom. I am told that a family was once reared
