They dress in very funny clothes and put vizards on their faces. They generally have some rhyme. The rhyme in this locality is:-"The wren, the wren, the king of the birds,
St Stephen's day was caught in the furze;
Altho' she was small her family was great,
So rise up landlady & give us a treat;
We followed her up & followed her down,
We followed her into Rathangan town;
We broke her back & we split her bill,
And we caught her on top of Kilmantic hill;
Up with the kettle & down with the pan,
Give us our answer & let us be gone.
