    which gave Edenderry one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in Ireland. The erection and furnishing cost more than £50,000, every penny of which was paid off.
    The church was consecrated in July last by the Most Revd Dr. Cullen Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin.
    Another monument to the zeal of the late pastor is the fine convent and convent schools which he erected. Throughout the diocese he was revered and respected.
