The Cows.
In the summer the cows are put out at night, and brough in in the morning. But in the winter they are kept in the cow shed and given old hay or straw to lie on. and in the winter evening they are given cotton cake, or oil nuts, ore turnips or mangolds or potatoes.
Tyings
Our cows are tied with chains to the manger.
Names.
Some names of our cows are, the Polly cow, red rowan, Molly Bawn, the strawberry cow and the spotted.
The Care of the Cows.
