Agriculture, and History. Everyone no matter how far they had to come, they had to (c) bring two sods of turf for the fire. At the end of the week everyone had to bring something, such as a barley cake, potatoes, oatmeal, or a penny, to the teacher. The teacher used to live in a room not far from the school.
The oldest people of this locality went to this school for it was the only one convenient to them.
