- There are four graveyards in the parish of Borris. They are situated in the townlands of Ballymurphy, Rathanna, Clonagoose and Killtinnel.They are still in use and many people are buried in them. There is a pattern held in Clonagoose and Killtinnel and many people go there.They are still in use and there is a church in Ballymurphy, and Rathanna and Mass is said there each Sunday by the Borris Priests.There is a ruined church in Clonagoose and Killtinnel. The churchyards are round in shape and there are trees growing in them. The churchyards contain some very ancient tombs. There are some very old iron crossed in the graveyards. There is a disused graveyard in this parish. It is in townland of Tinnecaning in Kavangh's field. No one remember burials to take place in it.There are some old tomb stones in it but there are no inscriptions on them. There was a special graveyard to bury unbaptised children in.
