- One night when my brother Mick was coming home from Clonmore, he passed by a haunted house in Killinure. A big black dog with blazing eyes ran out in front of him.
He was nearly dying on the road with fright. When he came home he looked very pale and fainted. He told the story about the dog and he also said he saw a light in the house. This light was seen up to five or six years ago. And it has never been seen since. Mick was about thirteen years of age then, he is nineteen years of age now.
He told me this story often.- Bailitheoir

- Once upon a time there was a girl working in a Minister's house in Kildare. She was a catholic girl and she never used to go to Mass.
The minister would not let her. Every Sunday something would (let her) appear to her at Mass time. The girl was a year from mass. One morning the mistress of the house was in the kitchen when she heard a screach in the room. She went up to the room where the maid was and when she went in she saw the bones of the girls on the floor.
