Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)young turnips and smothers their growth. The Prasach is a green plant and has a long shank and a small yellow blossom it grows mostly in tillage land.
Some of the useful herbs a the wild Garlic which grows abundanly around Mr Pennefather Estate. It is a green plant and has long flat leaves and a white blossom.
It is useful for inoculating calves against a disease called "The Black Leg" It is done by puncturing the skin of the calf's leg and squeezing the juice from the roots of the Garlic on it under the skin.
Other very useful herbs are the wild Poppey head mixed with the Camamile flower which is a green plant and grows very tall and has a blossom like a daisy, they are very good for poultisine.
