  1. Is he Fat?
    Big Dan (ODonovan) as he was called was one night lisstening to Ghost Stories till 12 o'clock, when the thought stuck him to go home. There was, also, a little 'ould' tailor with stumps fo legs in the house where the story was told, and as Dan was afeered to go home, by the graveyard the men said for Big Dan to carry the tailor with him.
    The Tailor was put on Dan's back, and they started for the graveyard.
    While this was going on, two thieves were starting out to steal a sheep from a neighbour nearby, and kill him in the corner of churchyard. One of the thieves hid in the graveyard while the other fuffion went to "ketch" the sheeps.
    Big Dan came to the graveyard with the tailor on his back, and the thief, thinking it was the sheep, stretched up his hands, saying, - is he fat?
    Big Dan dropped the tailor with fright into the hands of the theif and "as go bragh" with him. When he arrived home he fell into a weakness. They threw water on him and when he came to, he said - Ah! the
