  1. About a hundred years ago there was a school in Cortoon, where Nick McManus now lives. Seamus De Lacy taught in a barn there. He came from the Blacklion district a part noted from learning and school teachers. He went home with his pupils on turn.
    There was no Irish taught there as there was no language.
