   Long ago people used to dye their own wool, and manufacture it into friezes, and flannon and blankets, and all other woolen materials. The way they used to dye the wool for frieze was first to boil it in alum for one hour by keeping it turned now and again. According to so many lbs of wool then take a half lb of logwood to every two lbs of wool, and an ounce of copperous

   As I go to my bed as I go to my bed
   Begging of Jesus my soul shall be saved,
   Break not for heaven and Lord be the flower.
   And Jesus be with me at my dying hour.
   There are four corners on my bed.
   There are four Angels on.
   Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, God bless the bed that I lie on.
   Here I lay down my head to sleep.
   If any evil, wakens me, waken now, waken never
   I give my soul to God to keep for ever.
