Everyone's eyes eagerly watch out to see from what direction the wind blows on Hallow Eve night, for it is said it will blow from that point for the three months following. It is said that if the wind blows from the north or east we will have no rain, but if it blows from the south or west it is a sign of rain. When the wind whistles it is a sign of storm.
Insects
In summer a very common insect is the midget. It is said that when the midgets begin to bite the people it is a sign of rain. When the ground is covered with ants it is a sign of rain also. If a snale is seen creeping across the road it is a sign of rain.
People.
When pains come into the bones of old people, it is a sign of rain. it is then we hear the old saying "Old Betty's joints are on the rack" If a person with a weak chest improves so will the weather. If a person's corns get better it is a sign of good weather.- Bailitheoir
