Beside the well
No. - St. Senan's mother when visiting some friends near Mt. Callan took the child with her and as she was passing by this well she stopped and gave a drink to the child, also took a drink herself, and as the day was hot she bathed the child's eyes with some of the water.
Water will boil if profaned. Persons whose eyes are cured allege they have seen small trout at the bottom of the well after washing the eyes. It is unlucky to meddle with the fish.
It dates from the infancy of St. Senan..
