- There is a field in the townland of Ramonan near Ballyjamesduff. It got the name of the wild geese. It got its name long ago.
Priests used to say mass at a small rock in that field, and when mass would be over, the people would run home quickly because they were afraid that if the English soldiers caught them at mass they would kill them.
