Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)She kneads the dough until it becomes ball-shaped. She then pats it into a well-greased hot oven and makes a cross on the top to help it rise. She covers the lid with glowing embers and hangs the oven over a "slow" fire. Sometimes she puts the oven beside the fire.
Potatoe-bread is made in a different way. First of all, the potatoes are boiled and then peeled. Then they are mashed. Flour, salt soda and sometimes, even sugar and currants. When it is put on the pan it is cut in quarters.
