- St. Martin's Day falls on the 2nd of August. It is not kept as a holiday. No one observes the customs. Long ago the people said that it was unlucky to boil eggs on St. Martin's Day because you would be using water.
- St. Patick's Day falls on the 17th march. This is a great festival and very much honoured in places like Dublin and other big places. On this day people wear shamrocks in honour of St. Patrick. They also send shamrocks to their friends(continues on next page)
