  2. The local landlord was Colonel Story. His family lived in Cavan for generations.
    He was a harsh landlord Mr. Tatlow was his agent and they carried out five evictions in this townland of Murmod.
    The tenants could be evicted for no reason at all. The tenant might pay his rent to-day and be evicted the next day. He was often known to be evicted for the simple reason of cutting a tree or selling a load of straw. Nobody
