Ar an leathanach seo
- There are four forges in this parish - owned by John Costelo, Leiter, - Kingscourt. Patrick Larkin, Kingscourt ; Joe Mc Keever ; Bernard Connor, Kingscourt. They have been blacksmiths for many years. There is one on the side of the road owned by John Costelo. It has a thatched roof and a wide door. The man shoes horses and asses. He mends ploughs and other implements. It is said that blacksmiths used to cure Rickets. But before he can work this charm he must have seven sons and three of them blacksmiths also.
