Fare you well Kliiaclaughlan, your whins now in blossom,
And you lonely thatched cottage where oft I did stray
To spend a night cheery, with my lassie near me,
But now I must leave her to cross o'er the sea.

While looking around from this dear spot of ground,
Through the morning's gray mist now I take a last view,
Of the sweet sunny plain where I first met my Jean
Among the green bushes of green Kilnacrew.

Oh green hills of Latchey, (Latsey) I ne'er can forget you,
When afar in the west I in sorrow repine
And dream of companions who yearly assemble
