Houses were more numerous in the townland in former times. There are three or four houses now in ruins. A few persons emigrated to America in former time and a few went to France. The townland is not mentioned in any song or saying.
Most of the land is hilly and good. There is no wood growing in the townland. There is no river in it but there is a river beside it which divides it from the following townlands; Gortin, Drumsilla, and Aughatotan.
There is no name on the river. There are no streams or lakes either. I never heard of any stories in connection with them as the old people who had any knowledge of stories are dead.
