- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)In former years people from the district emigrated to America and up to the present day, they are emigrating to England and Scotland and to other Europian countries.
There is no family name most common in my district, but the family name most common in the adjoining district is Brady.
On the North side of my district the land is boggy and on the East it is hilly. There are no woods in this townland.
Houses were far more numerous in former years than they are at the present time. There are the ruins of five old houses in the district, and two of these houses were situated on my farm. The people who lived in one of these houses on my farm were named Bradys. It is said that they all died at home.
The name of the man who lived in the other house was John Gallagher who emigrated to Scotland.
