They were heavily disguised, of course, as they were there to represent the traditional " Straw Boys ". A hearty welcome was given to them, and for some time they monopilised the kitchen floor. Some of them danced with the bride, while others had to be satisfied with the still unclaimed female treasures of Scattery Island.
Nóta:-" The old order changeth and yieldeth place to new " everywhere so I fear that in years to come, the old fashion of having weddings will die out in Scattery also. The present inhabitants are as modern-minded as their(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
