- The word boot is used when people are swapping things, one which if of more value than the other. The person with the least valuable must give some money to the other along with what he is swapping to make up for the dearest thing.
Tick: The word tick is used mostly in country shops. Tick means a person gets goods without paying for them, but promises to pay as soon as they have the money.
