they will not be able to get in.
The woman went home and did as the voice had told her, and the twelve horned women rushed out shouting “my children are in it, my children are in it’, and they ran off to save their children. Then the woman went in, tidied everything, threw out the feet water and locked the door.
When she had her work completed the women arrived back, they knocked at the door and asked to be let in, but she refused. So they asked the kettle, pots, brush, chairs and basin to let them in, But each answered in turn, “No, I am in my proper place and can’t let you in.” They called to the feet water to let them in, but it said, “No, I am outside the door as well as yourself and I can’t let you in”. So they had to go away without getting in and they were very angry.
This taught the untidy woman a good lesson, and ever since then she has kept a clean tidy house.
