Bread
Long ago people had no bread but potatoes for every meal..About the middle of the seventeenth century bread was introduced into this country.Bread was made from oaten meal,indian meal and bran.At first they used to grind the oats with the caorann and then it used to be baked (with) on pans, on the cover of a pot or on the bottom of a bucket.The griddle or oven was not known of at that time also.They used leave three bricks under it and then leave the cover in it or what ever vessel they would bake it in.
They bake a cake in the griddle and a loaf in the oven. They(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
