    Travelling tailors known as 'journey men tailors' went about the country staying anywhere there was work for them. They usually charged about 8 shillings for a suit.
    Blankets & Frize were the principal kind of goods made at home.
    There was a large woollen mill at The Vale, Bailieboro. It was owned by a Mr. Simpson & was in operation until about years ago.
    Here blankets, frize, and tweed was produced. Quite good tweeds were produced, and for as low as 2/6 per yard a hard wearing tweed for everyday wear was got.
